Motivation Monday- What is your "Why"-Hollie Olson

Each and everyone of us walked through the door at EHP for a different reason. The reason "WHY" is unique to us as individuals. What you don't know is your "WHY" might be the motivation for someone else to start or even continue walking through the door.

Why do you Crossfit?

Health and fitness really started a passion for me 13 years ago when we lost our first son Gabriel after birth . Durning his pregnancy I knew he was sick and the only thing that gave me peace and time with God was walking. I walked for 41 weeks and after having Gabriel I came home from the hospital without a baby and knew I needed to do something. So I walked every day and quickly walking turned into running. It’s then I realized health and fitness are more the physical, it helped me to heal. And I wanted to share that with others so I became a personal trainer and group excise teacher! Since then it’s been so important for me to stay active and teach my family that too!

I knew I wanted to try something new that challenged me physically and mentally so I started Crossfit 5 years ago after having my 4th child! And it’s changed my life. Crossfit has helped me get in the best shape of my life after having 4 kids and do so many things I never thought possible!

What motivates you to continue?

My #1 motivation are my kids . I want to be the best mom I can be mentally and physically! They have been on this Crossfit journey with me along with my husband and it motivates our whole family, to be stronger inside and out! And they all have a love for Crossfit. just as much as mom does!

I have realized for me most workouts test my mind more then my body. I have done things I once said I couldn’t do. And have a long list of things I want to do!

And Our Crossfit family and coaches at EHP also motivates me to get up every morning and come and see my friends at 5:30am! I am so thankful for the amazing friends and family we Now have in our lives because of Crossfit!
