Each and everyone of us walked through the door at EHP for a different reason. The reason "WHY" is unique to us as individuals. What you don't know is your "WHY" might be the motivation for someone else to start or even continue walking through the door.

Why do you Crossfit?
I started Crossfit because my cousin invited my wife and I to a nutrition challenge down in White Bear Lake. The first meeting was at Crossfit White Bear. I had never done a group fitness class before but when I saw the facility I thought "holy crap I think I could get into this!" I tried out a free week and I was hooked. I'll never forget talking to Audra about it. "Hey Audra, you know if I sign up for a month that will turn into a year and I'll want to do this 2 hours a day 7 days a week for probably forever..."
What motivates you to continue?
I am driven by a belief that discipline will lead me to a life of fulfillment. Crossfit allows me to exercise discipline and helps keep my body, mind, and soul healthy. I want to see what I can get my body and mind to achieve. Every PR, every new skill, feeds a need to continually better myself and push the boundaries of what I thought possible.
My motivation comes in many forms. I want to be an example. I want to show others what is possible if they continue to believe in themselves. I was once the person who couldn't do a pullup or lift a barbell over my head. Finally, Crossfit is therapy for me. I need it to help balance my emotions, stress, and anxiety.
Plus, I like metrics and numbers. Crossfit has TONS of things I can analyze, tweak, and improve :)
