You work hard, take a little time for yourself. It’s okay to be selfish every once in a while, in fact it’s a necessity unless you want to crash and burn (which you don’t...that’s no bueno). So each Sunday, I’m going to help you be a little selfish and give you an idea of something you can do to relax and take a little break from the chaos of life.

Happy Sunday! I love Podcasts and if you’ve never listened to one, bear with me because I know once you experience a really great podcast, you will be a podcast lover too! What is a Podcast, you might ask. It’s a FREE audio episode of any and every topic out there that you can imagine. Podcasts can range from 2 minutes to 2 hours, with categories spanning from political opinions/news to audiobook episodes on murder and mystery to episodes on food fads. You can learn so many interesting new things, did I mention it’s free?

Take a little you time today and listen to your favorite podcast. If you’ve never listened to one, I’m here to give you some ideas on different podcasts that are out there and some great episodes to try out. Pick out one that piques your interest, grab a cup of coffee and enjoy!

  1. The Daily: This is my favorite Podcast, I listen to it everyday during breakfast. It gives a brief recap on the news that focuses on diving a little deeper into a main topic in the news. Only 15-35 minutes long(depending on the day) and engaging for people who don’t love watching the news.

  2. Ted Talks Daily: Episode-The Gift and Power of Emotional Courage

  3. Freakonomics: Episode-Why is My Life so Hard?

  4. Stuff you Should Know: Episode- Manson Family Murders

  5. Hidden Brain: Episode- Buying Attention
