Each and everyone of us walked through the door at EHP for a different reason. The reason "WHY" is unique to us as individuals. What you don't know is your "WHY" might be the motivation for someone else to start or even continue walking through the door.

Why do you Crossfit?
Holly made me do it. :) No for real, she did. I used to be a 3 sets of 10 upper body kind of lifter with a leg day thrown in every now and then. When I started real estate, I quit the gym, and Holly said "I want to check this out and I think you would like it" I told her I can't, I am the guy that makes fun of Crossfit. We toured 701 and EHP and immediately were drawn to the "family vibe" that EHP brought to us. We were greeted by Joy and Karla, and a couple others that were working out at the time. We were given a tour and decided to sign up right there. My first workout was horrible. We came before there was basecamp so we were thrown into it, but used lighter weights and modified movements. We instantly fell in love with what it did for us both physically and mentally.
What motivates you to continue?
My attitude towards crossfit has changed over the last couple years. At first I was striving to be the strongest, and fastest. I was a whiteboard chaser. I began to come to the conclusions, as much as I wanted to compete with the "younger guys" I slowly began to realize that isnt the best thing for myself and my body. I started to transition myself over to the mental challenge that Crossfit provides for me. I need this to help clear my head after work as much as I need it for my health. I don't look at the white board anymore. I dont care to be the first one done, and I look to get as much out of every workout that I can. The community as well has kept me coming back as well and the amazing coaching staff. They are always willing to listen and help. If you have a problem, reach out to them. If you are frustrated, talk to them.
