Throwback Thursday: Greg Gulbranson #Gymnasty

1. My favorite activity growing up was always gymnastics. The sport has dominated my life since I joined at the age of 9. I didn't really have time for other activities because when I wasn't training during my normal practice times, I was attending open gyms for extra training hours or coaching the younger classes (When I was old enough). If I ever managed to find spare time, I would spend it walking on my hands and tumbling in my yard. I was obsessed. (And still am!)

2. My gymnastics background has obviously helped me with the gymnastics aspect of CrossFit being that I was already proficient in the CrossFit gymnastics movements prior to joining. However, it also helped me gain a good sense of body awareness and control; so when the coaches give me cues for my lifting, I'm able to make the small changes within the next couple tries for faster improvements.

A gymnastics background is a launch pad for any sport or physical activity in life...
