Starting Position

Feet are hip width apart, no closer than that.
Toes are slightly pointed outward for more muscle recruitment.
Feet are flat, you should be able to feel your heel and big toe on the floor.
You should balance and feel the weight at mid foot.
Drive When you drive your feet into the ground, your feet should remain flat until your legs and hips are extended. Once your legs and hips are extended if you have created enough momentum you will naturally lift your heels off the ground, continuing to apply pressure into the floor, maybe even jump off the floor.

Catch
When the barbell is received your feet will shift outward to about shoulder width apart. This foot positioning in your catch should mimic the foot placement you would have in an overhead squat or front squat. And again you should land in your squat with flat feet.
